DESCRIPTION:

Join us on Friday, January 23th at 6:00PM for the first class in our Alternative Expression series!

For this class, led by our own Avi, we will start by drawing a simple object to get a baseline of our own starting skills. Then we’ll learn a technique known as contour drawing to hone our observational skills. Contour drawing is a great way of breaking outside the existing ideas we have about what objects look like, and is a useful tool for both beginner and experienced artists! From there, we will move on to create a more complex piece of art using the skills we learned while contouring.

Absolutely NO experience is required, and attendees are welcome to break outside the mold and do something different, experiment, and be creative! At the end of the event, attendees are encouraged (but not required) to submit what they created to our upcoming art exhibition.
