LOCATION: Sunnyside, Queens.

This event will involve a lot of walking on the sidewalk with varying elevations.

DESCRIPTION:

Welcome to our first ever Train ID walk! In this event, we will be walking around the Sunnyside Yards, the home of where most of the Amtrak/NJT trains reside and get serviced! We will be taking a walk around the area and learn about the history of the area and the locomotives, as well as seeing some train action from Amtrak’s busy Harold Interlocking. Whether you’re an avid fan of trains or you want to learn more about Sunnyside Yards history, this event is for you! 

This event may be overstimulating, as there will be car traffic, loud train noises/horn and so on. We recommend bringing headphones, earbuds, or any other sensory tools you need!
