Exploring Autism: Community Spaces

Virtual Event on Zoom

This virtual event is part of a series of public conversations centered on autism from a lived-experience perspective! These sessions are meant to be a welcoming space to listen, learn, ask questions, and hear directly from the community.

In this session, we’ll focus on what it’s like to be Autistic in social and community spaces, and how to support Autistic people and build more inclusive, accessible environments. We’ll talk about what can make a space or event autistic-friendly, including communication, structure and sensory considerations.

Whether you’re an event organizer, friend, family member, employer, or community member, this conversation will offer practical ways to better support autistic people in everyday spaces. This event is also a great fit for people who are newly diagnosed, exploring whether they might be autistic, or who are curious about what our events are like and what it feels like to be part of this community.

This event is open to the public and led by our founder Sy’Aire Russell.
