DESCRIPTION:

On Monday, July 7th, join us for an online discussion about Autism and unmasking. Our discussion series is based on the book Unmasking for Life, the follow-up to Unmasking Autism by Autistic professor and writer Devon Price.

As Price explains, Autistic masking is "an attempt at hiding [one's] disability that many undiagnosed Autistic people take part in", which often leads to harmful consequences. Unmasking for Life explores tools for navigating friendships, family, work and love in order to live one's best unmasked Autistic life.

Obtaining and reading the book is TOTALLY OPTIONAL! This discussion will focus on Chapter 2, “Friendship”. We will review ideas and strategies from the book and share our own Autistic experiences and strategies.
