LOCATION: Upper East Side. This is an accessible event.
DESCRIPTION:
This event is for Autistic adults who identify as BIPOC: Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color.
On Saturday, September 6th, come join us for an afternoon of fashion exploration! This event will be led by our new host and fellow member, Ciara!
After some quick introductions, you will be led into the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibit to take a glimpse at black fashion and the history of Dandyism in the black community. Afterward, the group will head to Central Park to discuss the exhibit and what the fashion means to them.
From the Met - Please note that Superfine: Tailoring Black Style might be a crowded exhibition, as our Costume Institute shows often have a lot of buzz and excitement. The exhibition has low lighting and a constant soundtrack. There are a few additional videos that may also have sound.
